This site runs on a server of netcup GmbH (Karlsruhe, Germany) in a data center in Nuremberg, Germany.

Visiting this site

This site sets no cookies for visitors and uses no analytics or tracking services. All fonts and scripts come from this server.

The server counts page views for each address and day. This count contains no IP addresses and no other personal data.

To deliver the pages and to protect the server against attacks, the server processes your IP address for a short time. It does not keep access logs (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Embedded players

Some pages contain players from YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud or Desmos. They load only after you click them. Then the provider of the player gets your IP address and can set cookies. Their privacy policies apply.

Newsletter

When you subscribe, the site stores your email address and the date. You get an email with a confirmation link (double opt-in). When you confirm or cancel the subscription, the site also stores the time and your IP address as a record, for at most one year. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in each letter. After that, the site keeps your address only as "unsubscribed", so that you do not get letters again by mistake.

The emails go out through Resend (Resend, Inc., USA). Resend processes your email address on my behalf and sends the emails from servers in Ireland (EU).

Readers who subscribed on Substack before the move came to this site with their email address and subscription date.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict its processing, and to data portability. You can withdraw your consent at any time. You can complain to a supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA).
